The Viaduct (View From The Other Side)
Another train ticket artwork in Johnman's distinguished style, using spray paint and mixed media on British Train tickets.
This extremely popular edition depicts a young woman looking out over the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland (the railway line used for the Hogwarts Express film set in the Harry Potter Films).
The painting also formed the basis for Johnman’s mural in St Paul’s at the 2019 Cheltenham Paint Festival. From a limited edition of 5 pieces with 2 Artist Proofs.
As with most of Johnman's train ticket artworks, once an edition is complete, the intricately, hand-cut stencils are then flipped over to create a second edition in mirror image. With this particular edition it now looks like the muse is sat on the opposite side of the viaduct. Hence the edition's title.
Titled and signed en-verso along with the edition number and media used. Framed as pictured and ready to hang.
